In 2020, we filed original Texans Talk newspapers from Sam Houston High School's first years, 1963-1965, with the digital newspaper archive program at University of North Texas, The Portal to Texas History.
Thank you to alumna Jayme Thomas for donating them, and to alumnae Brenda Allen Wolf and Morgan Davis for making it happen.
Texan Traditions
From the Long Tall Texan to the Big Sam Bell, along with Homecoming, the annual celebration of Judy Thomas Day, and honoring our “Long-Haul Texans,” we aim to keep the traditions of our alma mater alive and well.
